Advertising has two main purposes. The first is to increase sales by increasing visibility. The second is to increase label knowledge and brand loyalty for any product or service. But it always comes back to the first priority, which is simply being seen. There are a few tips you can follow to help you do this.
First, establish who your target audience is, and plan to market directly to them. It might seem like a good idea to cast your net wide, but this will actually bring in less results than focusing on one group. Once you have established your brand you can begin to market similar services or products for other groups.
Second, come up with a memorable image. We have all seem those commercials that seem to last a lifetime. Getting in an image and campaign that people will remember will ensure that you are the first thing they think about when looking for the service you provide.
Third, keep an eye on the competition, and aim to market as effectively as they do. If they come out with a new, successful campaign, you will want to push your own. Keep track of what they are doing, and match it.
